Nice. Were you one of my students in the past? I can't remember by the board name. _________________ -Walden

Four years ago? I can't remember teaching for that long. Has it been that long? Time flies when you're always behind a drawing table. _________________ -Walden

They look good to me. Some of the lines are hard for me to see. Maybe it's the scans. How are you other classmates doing with it? Are you allowed to push the shadows more? Maybe even use the side of the pencil lead to speed things up? _________________ -Walden

Good theory. If you continue to use a pen, it'll force you to make less mistakes and be sure what you're drawing. _________________ -Walden

astrostar49. I tool a look at your recent sketches again.
have you tried sketching the work to look more organic? More curves and such? You did it on the first post. Then when you got to the latest, the work seems more static. _________________ -Walden

Some of you sketches looks chiseled. It has those angular points in them. See if you can sketch those lines to be more curvy. More organic. For example, some of the shoulders you're drawn has this point as if it's a box. Round those points out.
It does look better when you have more time working on it.
One of my friends, Zimou Tan who's also an instructor at the Academy, did this in five minutes. Look at the outlines of the figure. It's all drawn with curves.
Here's one he did in 1 minute. Pen and ink. Look at the line work, there's hardly any stright lines.

Zimou is a great artist. If you go to his workshops, he'll definately take care of you! He would be the best person to ask for advice.
Here's more of his work.
