It is actually a pen/pencil grip made of usually foam or soft plastic. You can get them at any store that sells office and/or school supplies. They're pretty inexpensive and usually come in packs so I suggest you just buy it.

Or you can just buy mechanical pencils with the grips already on them and just take them off =P that way you'll have a pencil if u ever need it lol. |

Yes, it's a foam item. Soft on your fingers and very comfortable to use when drawing with it.
Nani answered all your questions. I also buy them in boxes and they're very inexpensive. Once they get dirty or flat, just toss them and use another. _________________ -Walden
